We stayed here the 3rd and 4th of July. Location was close to everything we wanted to visit. The petrified tree in front of the office was spectacular. We attended the Fireman's BBQ on the 4th and the fireworks that night. We would stay here again. Our grandson's liked the pool and the laundry room was clean. A Park Ranger from the Petrified Forest presented a late afternoon program for the campers and a small western combo provided good, toe-tapping music while steaks were grilled in the chuck wagon. We did not eat supper or breakfast there because we prepared our own food. A nice stay.

This park was transitioning to a Jellystone franchise. Unfortunately it is the only option when visiting friends in Castle Rock and the rates are much too high for what we got. Sites are narrow and small. The bath house was close, very nice and clean but there's no soap in the dispensers for the two nights we were here. Trains are loud and frequent for tenters but we didn't hear them inside our trailer with the A/C running. Walking for me is difficult on level ground but the coarse gravel was really rough to walk on with sandals. It was convenient to get to I-25 to visit the Air Force Academy with our grandsons, but we were glad to leave Jellystone behind us!!

After reading other reviews I wonder if we stayed at the same Salina KOA! We really liked this KOA for several reasons. The location was just right for our day's travel: the site was level, neighbors were friendly and helpful, the pool was very clean, there was a pond with a free paddle boat, our one grandson could fish while the other one swam, the lounge was very nice and the laundry room was very clean and quite large. The bathrooms were outstanding! I can't remember the exact price but we used our KOA card and it seemed a lot more reasonable than our previous stay in Castle Rock, Colorado! We would stay here again.

This stop was not planned in advance...we consulted our Trailer Life book and found this park was in the vicinity of where we wanted to stop. How lucky for us. We were in a flat site right behind the bath house which had toilet/shower/sink units. They were clean and uncrowded. Laundry was nice but we didn't use it. There was a very large pond in which our older grandson could fish--a definite positive. It was quiet for us with our A/C running even thought the Interstate was close by. We would stop here again. More improvements are planned for this park to make it even more enjoyable.

Truly a desert campground: but a good location for what we wanted and the price was cheaper than any of the parks in Moab. The bath house was close by but crowded. Toilet/shower/sink combos and they were clean. We visited Arches and Canyonlands, shopped for groceries in Moab and ate at Wendy's. Drove up the road along the Colorado River for a way. Did not go to the Bar M Chuckwagon Show because it cost more than we wanted to spend. The sunset was gorgeous and our grandson got some lovely pictures of the old building against a beautiful sky.

A great campground with the best drinking water at our site. We filled all our empty water bottle here! The bathroom was a 10 and not crowded at any time we needed to use it. There were 2 combination shower/toilet/sink units separate from the bathrooms with just toilet stalls and sinks. We were placed next to the bath house because of physical problems. Would stay here again: a really nice park. Didn't get to use the pool because we got in too late both nights.

The atmosphere is Route 66 and the train car and cabooses are an attraction. The laundry and bathrooms were clean and nice: but there were only 3 toilets and two of them were in a unit with a shower and sink. So if people had to use the toilet there was a long, long line in the mornings and in the evening. We asked for a lot close to the bath house because of my limited mobility but they did not put us in a spot that was right across from the bath house and that spot remained open. We were already set up when we saw that no one was placed in that spot for the night. The pool was enclosed but our grandsons returned from the pool reporting that it was so dirty and green that they would not go into it. A smart decision by 15 and a 13 year-old boys. There were campgrounds closer to Grand Canyon but we had already reserved our space before we learned that our friends were not going to be able to meet us there. We would have lost a night's paid-in-advance space if we had chosen to stay at another campground. It was about 50 miles to the Canyon. We would rather have stayed in Trailer Village inside the Park but reservations have to be made so far ahead we could not get in there for the second night.

Stayed because it was the closest to Zion Canyon. The pool is very nice. Tokens are given for shower use and they were adequate. Some thoughtless campers ahead of us left garbage in the fire ring covered with a piece of vinyl and the big black ants were having a field day. The management was very prompt in coming and spraying them. The site was wide, level and long. We were very close to the bath house but it was the poorest part of the campground. The wiping threshold on the outside door of the women's restroom/bath house was falling off and prevented the outside door from closing. The sinks/counters were not very satisfactory and the toilets while water-saving did not flush paper down very well. With the windows open everyone could see into the bath house and with the windows closed it was like a sauna. The river didn't attract our grandkids but a lot of people from the enterprise across the road walked through the campground past the campsites to go tubing.

This was a perfect 10! We called ahead as we saw we would make Crossville and they waited for us. What lovely people and the bath and shower facilities were spotless. Our pull-through was level and the place was so quiet and peaceful...mostly adults and the park completely surrounds the small, clear lake. The older grandson got up at daylight to fish and was still fishing when we called him to breakfast. We walked around the shady grounds and mostly large motorhomes and fivers were there. Didn't see a single shabby thing...no sir...not here. Put this on your list of places to stay in TN!!

A beautiful setting with red rock behind the park and wide open, windy spaces! The wind blew most of the time we were here. Grass is green and lush with a beautiful pool. Laundry facilities were good. Bathrooms were crowded and hot water ran out. I noticed that many people ignored the signs that suggested people use cold water to wash so the showers would not be cold. The campsites were very spacious: most of the ones in the area where we were on the back row, were really two spaces: one for the vehicle and the other for our travel trailer. This was our base to travel to Capitol Reef and Goblin Valley where Grandpa and the boys climbed all over rocks. Prices are high at nearby stores since the population is small and no major stores were located in the area. We cooked our own meals, but there were prepared meals for guests to purchase. We would stay here again gladly.
